Welcome to PSO BRAVO!
The PSO provides an array educational experiences — not only in the classroom to augment the great teaching that goes on in New Jersey schools, but also in the community, for all to enjoy. Since 1995, PSO BRAVO! education programs have been offered free of charge to more than 10,000 students every year.
Meet the Orchestra!
Classroom program for grades 2-5, introducing the individual instrument families and culminating in a date with the full orchestra in the concert hall.
School-based program for artists in grades 6-8, which invites the students to attend a PSO Classical Series concert together, and then challenges them to respond in visual art.
A two-day in-class composition workshop for grades 9-12, providing live hearings of student compositions, guidance in the revision process, and mini-performance of the resulting work.
The private lesson of a lifetime: high school and college musicians are chosen by audition to participate in a public master class with one of the PSO’s guest artists.
Festival of Music and Art for Families
A joy-filled day of music and art for all ages, including a PSO Family Concert and a day of hands-on activities at the Princeton University Art Museum.
PSO BRAVO! Around Town
Pop-up activities for all ages in the community. Applaud preschool violinists with us, enjoy an introduction to one of the instrument families, or try your hand at playing the French horn. New opportunities throughout the season!
PSO BRAVO! is made possible by the generosity of the Robert Wood Johnson 1962 Charitable Trust and hundreds of other corporate, foundation, government, and individual donors.
