Elizabeth Thompson
Cellist ELIZABETH THOMPSON enjoys a multi-faceted career as chamber musician, orchestral player, and recitalist. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Academy of Music, and the Kimmel Center with such groups as the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Opera Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Ballet, Philly POPS, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and many others. During the summer, she has performed with the Santa Fe Opera and the Berkshire Opera in addition to The Princeton Festival and the Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice, where she also serves as principal cellist. Ms. Thompson attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music and her principal teachers include Bernard Greenhouse and members of the Guarneri string quartet.
