Princeton Symphony to present Princeton Festival in June under tent at Morven Museum and Garden

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra has announced that it will present a two-week Princeton Festival from June 10 to 25 under a newly constructed performance tent on the grounds of Morven Museum and Garden. This will be the first festival presentation since the orchestra merged with the Princeton Festival last summer. Performers will include vocalist Storm Large, the Signum Quartet, and Baroque ensemble The Sebastians. Also planned are three staged operas: Derrick Wang’s Scalia/Ginsburg, Mozart’s The Impresario, and Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring. The festival also will include pops concerts with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and club-like evenings featuring jazz and cabaret. The festival tent will encompass on-stage action and an orchestra pit, dressing rooms and other backstage areas, plus adjustable seating plans. Lectures and receptions will take place in the museum’s Stockton Education Center, and the gardens and lawn areas will be available for picnicking and other outdoor activities.
