Open captioning is a process in which audio is transcribed into text. The text is then divided into caption frames and synchronized within the video to match the audio.

When is this provided automatically?
Open captioning is available during opera performances of the Princeton Festival. Also known as supertitles in the operatic world.

If not automatically provided, how do I request this service?
If you would like open captioning on any virtual performance, please contact Interim ADA Coordinator Mika Godbole at least 2 weeks before the performance date.

Restrictions:
At this time, we can only provide additional open captioning for virtual performances (broadcasted or on-demand).

Stay Up to Date: Sign up for email updates from the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and its flagship summer program the Princeton Festival.
