Exploring Così fan tutte
In advance of the performance, Dr. Timothy Urban will guide listeners through the plot points, ins and outs, and musical highlights of Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Mozart’s comic opera Così fan tutte is a music-lover’s treasure chest, filled with some of the composer’s most engaging music and acrobatic arias. The opera’s plot features plenty of twists, turns, and dual identities, while examining differences between men and women. This presentation looks at some of the opera’s highlights, focusing on Mozart’s comedic and musical genius.

Dr. Timothy Urban supervises and coordinates the undergraduate aural skills courses and teaches all Advanced Aural Skills sections at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. In addition, he teaches for both Westminster Choir College and RIder University's Graduate Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program.
