Aubree Oliverson Plays Dvořák
Our 2025-26 season opens with a burst of energy in Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova’s Orpheus' Comet. Audience favorite Aubree Oliverson returns for performances of Antonín Dvořák’s endearing Violin Concerto, and renowned twentieth-century composer Arnold Schoenberg reimagines Johannes Brahms’ romantic Piano Quartet in G Minor with a new depth of orchestral color.
Sunday's performance includes a free pre-concert talk for ticket holders hosted by Rossen Milanov at 3pm.
"The work…in the virtuosic hands of Oliverson, was a joy to experience."

Key Notes ![]()
- Born in the historic town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Dobrinka Tabakova has lived in London since 1991. Her debut album was nominated for a GRAMMY award in 2014.
 - Dvořák’s sunny violin concerto reflects the composer’s trademark folkloric influences.
 - Schoenberg said of his decision to orchestrate Brahms’ first piano quartet, “1. I like the piece. 2. It is rarely played. 3. It is always played very badly, because the better the pianist, the louder he plays, and you can’t hear the strings. I wanted to hear everything for once, and I achieved that.”
