Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel's Overture is the composer's only work for orchestra alone, and is highly representative of her style. Simone Porter marks her return performing Mozart's riveting fifth violin concerto, and the orchestra performs one of Haydn's most beloved symphonies.

“Porter’s silken-toned virtuosity puts her right up there with the finest interpreters of her generation”
— John von Rhein, Chicago Classical Review
