FREE Violin Masterclass
Calling all violinists! The Princeton Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey invite area students to apply to perform live for Aubree Oliverson, the PSO's season-opening solo violinist. Those selected will have the chance to receive instruction, constructive critique, and artistic insights from Ms. Oliverson in front of a listening audience.
Observation of this masterclass is free and open to the public; please register through the blue button above.
Masterclasses are opportunities for young, advanced music students to play in front of a professional musician and receive expert feedback and guidance on all aspects of their performance. A typical masterclass is not the same as a concert; each student will play an excerpt from their selected work, and the clinician may choose to focus on a small section, musical technique, presentation, or their performance as a whole. Audience members will learn about the process a professional violinist must undergo to prepare a piece of music for performance, as well as some tips and tricks a professional employs in their own playing.
This masterclass is presented in partnership with the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey.
